Bansko is Bulgaria's largest ski resort, and every winter thousands of visitors land at Sofia Airport wanting to reach the slopes as quickly as possible. A private transfer is the easiest option: the driver meets you after baggage claim, helps with your cases and ski bags, and drives you straight to your hotel door — no changing buses, no waiting, no dragging luggage through the snow.
We use a 9-seat van (up to 8 passengers) with room for both passengers and skis, snowboards and large luggage. For bigger groups we can add a luggage trailer. The drive takes about two and a half hours in normal conditions — along the Struma motorway to Simitli, then via Razlog to Bansko.

The Sofia to Bansko road in winter
The route runs along the Struma motorway (A3) to the Simitli junction, then on road II-84 through Razlog to Bansko. Summer driving time is about 2h15; in winter we plan for 2h30 – 3h because of traffic and road conditions around Razlog and Bansko.
